Handling technology
Fully automated warehouse
The introduction of a high-density goods-to-person system represents a new operational logic that works in synergy with existing warehouse technologies. It’s an extension of our tech stack, designed to address specific operational needs even more precisely.
How it Works
This solution complements established methodologies such as traditional picking, manual and automated sorting. It offers an additional, highly efficient method for storage and retrieval, ideal in high-density, high-volume contexts. Adoption is always based on thorough project data analysis, taking into account product types, order profiles, available space and service goals.
The system maximises available space (from our experience, up to +40% compared to already optimised traditional storage) and accelerates picking activities. Its goods-to-person logic brings items directly to the operator, reducing time, errors and physical strain. Its modular, scalable design makes it ideal for evolving environments where adaptability is essential.
Direct WMS Integration
One of the key features is direct integration with our proprietary WMS, Logistica.Net. Communication happens without third-party intermediaries, allowing full control over picking missions and dynamic optimisation of workflows.
This results in greater process stability, responsiveness and consistency, boosting overall warehouse efficiency.
Agile, Sustainable and Future-Ready
From an energy perspective, the system is designed to run with minimal power consumption. It doesn’t require lighting or climate control in operational areas, helping meet sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
Fully aligned with our vision of continuous innovation, the high-density goods-to-person system is a strategic lever for supporting the lifestyle sector’s growth, enhancing service quality and building a smarter, safer, and more future-ready logistics model.
Benefits
1. Operational efficiency
The goods-to-person system accelerates picking by bringing storage bins directly to operators. This drastically reduces internal movement, increases productivity and improves accuracy through continuous tracking.
2. Space optimisation
Its high-density structure allows significantly more items to be stored in the same footprint, reducing the need for physical expansion and improving stock management.
3. Seamless fit with existing operations
It complements rather than replaces other technologies, integrating smoothly with existing picking and sorting methods, enabling flexible configurations tailored to each project.
4. Sustainability and workplace wellbeing
By reducing manual handling, especially at height or over long distances, the system improves safety, ergonomics and working conditions, contributing to a healthier, more sustainable environment.
5. Low energy consumption
The system runs on minimal energy and requires no continuous lighting or heating. This reduces both energy costs and environmental footprint.
6. Direct integration with proprietary WMS
Integrating the high-density warehouse directly with our WMS offers a strategic advantage. With no third-party software in between, we can control automated warehouse systems directly, optimising picking missions and reducing time and error margins.
This seamless connection enables constant, accurate monitoring and faster responsiveness to business needs. Not relying on external vendors also eliminates typical communication or update issues, enhancing system efficiency, stability and scalability.
